Substantive Law

Transportation

ADC Substantive Law Committees serve many functions. These Committees may assist in the presentation of educational seminars, draft articles for the ADC Comment, or track developments in the legislature and the courts. The Automobile Liability Committee, one of the largest Substantive Law Committees, also offers its members the opportunity to obtain and share information via List Serve regarding issues of interest ranging from recent legal developments affecting our practice, to opinions regarding judges, arbitrators, or mediators in a particular county.

Many procedural developments in recent months, and years, have affected the way we practice law. The typical "soft tissue" automobile case is now routinely litigated on a "fast track", and resolved through mediation or arbitration. In other cases the forensic issues have become more complex, requiring the selection of the appropriate consultants and experts to address the plaintiff's claims. The Automobile Liability Committee can serve as a valuable resource based on the experience and expertise of its members.
